Siberian Moon hand raised kittens
What to Expect on Adoption Day
Most people drive about three hours to get to our door, so we schedule pickup for midday on Saturdays to allow for daylight travel time in both directions. If you can't make a Saturday, we are happy to find a time that works with your schedule.
We'll spend about an hour with you to answer questions, perform snuggle tests and teach you our methods for a lifetime of stress free nail clipping.
Don't forget! Secure Carriers are required for safe transport home!
Your kitten will be: healthy, vaccinated, and litter box trained.
You will receive -
-
Health Certificate from our veterinarian, with specific vaccination information to give to your vet.
-
Signed copy of your Adoption Contract
You may meet your kitten's Mom if you like, and see their registration papers. Please let us know if registering your kitten is important to you. It's not the most important factor for most of our customers, but we do have registration papers for all of our Siberians.

Settling In At Home
Your Kitten will feel safest if given one room at a time to explore, and only limited contact with other pets for now. Under the door sniffing is allowed, but your kitten will sleep more soundly without it at night.
Be sure to have fresh water and dry food as well as a litter box available as soon as you get home. We all need to pee after a road trip!
It’s normal for your kitten to cry the first night. They’ve never been away from Mom before! Don’t worry, they are old enough to be separated, and young enough to bond with you!
Take advantage of your kitten’s natural need for a new mother figure right now and spend as much time carrying them around as possible. The first two weeks are everything! Put a hoodie on backwards, carry your kitten everywhere and clip one long claw every day to establish nail trust and hygiene.
